Can this framework use to read the CCD document (HL7 v3) generated by any EMR systems (using SNOMED CT and LIONC coding systems) ?

If yes, kindly let us know how ??

Thanks in advance,
-ASR

Hi ASR,

You can get the Everest Framework read CDA documents (which I believe that CCD is) however it won't do this out of the box.

Basically, you will need to find a MIF v2.1 file for the HL7 CDA spec and run that through GPMR (following the instructions in Chapter 5 of the reference guide). I haven't found one personally but have heard rumors of such a file existing.

Basically, when you've got the MIF file, drop it in a folder and run the following GPMR command:

gpmr --renderer=RIMBA_CS -o C:\output --rimbapi-target-ns=ASR.RMIM.CDA --rimbapi-gen-vocab=true --rimbapi-compile=true

I'm not an expert on CDA, but I believe it is a document spec (rather than a messaging spec), so it might get tricky when it comes to serializing the root element of the message. CDA is on our roadmap for Everest however I haven't had much time to take a look at it

Hope that helps!
Cheers
-Justin
